You Will Miss...

Students of the INSEAD business school in France were commissioned to create an anti-drunk driving campaign poster after the sudden death of one of their MBA classmates. Kasia Korczak's design combines dark humor with real danger. As a college student who lost two friends to drunk driving this past year, I'm impressed with how well Korczak reaches and speaks to her audience. Very poignant.

If you've yet to learn that what you see is not always what you get when it comes to food packaging images, the photographs at PUNDO3000 will certainly teach you a thing or two. They've taken 100 comparative photographs of food packaging versus the real product. Interesting, but by no means surprising.

Turner Duckworth : Simplistic Genius







David Turner and Bruce Duckworth of Turner Duckworth have already made quite a name for themselves. The two-continental firm is responsible for such branding as Amazon and Coca-Cola. Recently, they did work for Waitrose, the UK branch of supermarkets who notably have a Royal Warrant to supply groceries to the Queen and Queen Mother. I love the simplicity of their packaging. It looks clean and healthy, two things I definitely think are key when buying food.

No Smoking and Skateboarding

With many cities going the way of smoke-free, I found new relevance in these prints. So much friendlier and creative than the typical 'No Smoking' sign. French designer Mathieu Hubert's work should be the new norm.
