It was about a year ago that I bid farewell to Korea, my home for more than two years. These vintage photographs of the country from the late 19th and early 20th centuries have me reminiscing about the country and its history. These photos depict a very different Korea than I knew, one where there was neither a North nor South, just Korea. Yet, many of the gates and palaces featured in the photographs still stand today.
