Like tacos and travel, my love for Airstream trailers knows no bounds. The Santa Barbara Auto Camp is a place I'm dreaming of calling home. It offers four stationary but gorgeous Airstreams available for rent. The trailers were hand-renovated by Matthew Hofmann of the architectural design firm HofArc.
The history doesn't stop with the vintage trailers. The camp opened in 1922 as a resting place for travelers exploring California's central coast. Today, the mini-hotel is just a part of a larger camp community of 30 other trailers, some of which house permanent residents. I would love to call myself a citizen of this camp, if only for a few nights.
