The Fortieth Parallel by Bruce Myren is by far one of the coolest and most inspiring photo projects (and Kickstarter campaigns) I've come across in a while. Myren is creating a massive panoramic series of photographs along the 40th degree of latitude in the United States. The line runs from New Jersey to California and Myren is stopping to photograph 50 longitudinal intersections, as well as the 2 coastal points. He's using an 8x10 Deardorff camera and color transparency film, a similar medium to what was used in the early surveys of the western United States. You can read more about the project on Cool Hunting.
