Stanislas Giroux, a French medical student who moonlights as a photographer and designer, spent 2 weeks in southern India. The film Indian Point of View documents his time in the state of Tamil Nadu. I didn't get to explore southern India while I was there this past summer, but I have fond memories of a group of elderly Tamilian men who shared a train car with me on the Rajasthan-leg of my trip. We weren't able to share much else due to the language barrier, but they did happily supply me with copious amounts of ghee murukku, a famous snack from their home state.
