SKETCHTRAVEL: GERALD GUERLAIS AND DICE TSUTSUMI

Sketchtravel is both a book and a project. It was conceived by two artists on opposites sides of the world, Gerald Guerlais in France and Dice Tsutsumi in Japan.  It began as a sketchbook with 60-something blank pages and developed into a collaborative project between 71 artists around the world. Each artist got one page to fill before they hand delivered it to the next. Sketchtravel took 4 years to complete its journey around the world.

The original book was auctioned last year in support of the non-profit Room to Read, which "focuses on literacy and gender equality in education for children in developing countries." It is currently available online.
