While doing research for last week's Destination Design post, I stumbled on these awesome abstract art maps of the world from artPause. My favorite is their abstract art map inspired by the De Stijl art movement and Dutch painter Piet Mondrian. The abstract art map inspired by Russian painter Kazimir Malevich, a pioneer of geometric abstract art, is a close second favorite.
Speaking of maps, I'm over on Hejorama again this morning for their Monday Map series. This week I share what the 'modern world' of map making looked like circa 1940.
