I played make believe interior designer throughout my travels in Asia. From one open-air market to the next, I was decorating my imaginary home. Sibella Court, author of Nomad, has treasure hunted around the world from Syria to Japan. In the book, "the ideas, photographs and mementos she collected are used to inspire room settings, illustrating simple, practical and surprising ways to be reminded of your travel experiences." I love the idea of bringing pieces of my travels home, Nomad looks like the perfect guide and inspiration for doing so.

I love Sibella Courts work,I have all her books...but the last one, 'Bowerbird' disapointed me...I was waiting for a section on textiles, which never came, and its always neutrals with Sibella, and sometimes my soul just yearns for big chunks of deep jewel colour..forest green, midnight blue,saffron yellow, berry pink...neutrals are great and they have their place but they don't always cut it for me!
