I wouldn't change much about my time in India. It really has been a joy. But, on my next visit to this country I insist on timing my travels with the Hindu festival of Holi. This short video by the production and creative company Variable sums up exactly why I want to witness the festival of colors with my own eyes.

So, my husband is Hindu. We visited London during Holi, and met up with his family to celebrate. It was my first time meeting many of them, and my first time celebrating the holiday. While our mini-fest didn't compare to the craziness in India, we did throw a lot of colored powder around and laugh and sing and such. The best part? Going home on the subway afterwards. We got some great looks.
