Eatphabet

Eatphabet by Flickr user Luiza P. is wildly creative and no doubt fun. A perfect "typography" for a food blog, no?

Glassware: Joe Cariati

By my standards, Joe Cariati is a master of glass. Working out of Los Angeles, Cariati's glassware is stunning and his Spring 2009 line is certainly testament to that.

A Book of Serious Drawings: Marc Johns

If you don't know the work of Marc Johns by name, you've likely seen it excitedly posted about on the blog at some point over the past two years. A collection of his witty and charming art is now available as a book called Serious Drawings. I'd say these pages would be a lovely edition to any coffee table or bookshelf.

Concrete/Mosaic Sink: BetonWare

You can file this under components of my dream home. This sink by BetonWare is seriously awesome. The sturdiness and simplicity of the concrete works so well with the colorful mosaic.

SnagFilms: For Documentary Film Lovers

I haven't been this excited about a website since Hulu. I recently discovered SnagFilms, an online documentary movie database. The best part? All 550 (and ever-growing) films are free for viewing online. Can I get a big collective woot woot?

ABCs: Honey and Bloom

How lovely is this ABCs print by Honey and Bloom? I'm especially digging the colors and the typography. I think this would look just awesome above my desk.

Flight Attendant Fashionistas: WHORANGE

The always lovely WHORANGE recently did an awesome round up of flight attendant fashion called Winged Wonders: Flight Attendant Fashionistas. No matter how much I love to travel, flight attendant is one job I've never once in my life considered. I'm scared to death of flying, and while I do it frequently enough, it's a job that would surely have my hair turning grey before I turn 30.

Vintage Airline Bags: Troyland

The collection of Vintage Airline Bags from Troyland are so great, I'm wishing they were for sale. They have the collection categorized by region and I've looked through all of them several times and still can't pick a favorite.

Bicycle Paintings: Taliah Lempert

I've mention here before that I don't own a car, never have and won't until I absolutely have to. I get around by foot and by bike (1970's vintage Schwinn Collegiate to be exact). Now that it's finally getting warm enough to ride a bike without bringing me to tears or causing snot-sickles, I couldn't be more excited! With that in mind, I'm loving Taliah Lempert's Bicycle Paintings. There is something very fun about them.

Looking Into the Past: Jason Powel

I'm really digging this new project series photographer Jason Powell has started. The concept is fairly simple and inspired by Michael Hughes' Souvenirs Project. Powell finds old images of various locations, prints them out and then photographs them against their current backdrop. He encourages anyone who wants to do their own to join his Flickr group and contribute.

Also, have you seen this super cool camera experiment Joanna from Cup of Jo did? It's nothing short of awesome!

Lovely Rita Bookshelf: Ron Arad

Our local library had a huge book sale this weekend, so naturally I spent a large chunk of my Saturday skimming the titles up for grabs. I walked away with about 15 books, ranging from the American Sign Language dictionary to a T.S. Elliot anthology. With that being said, I would really like the Lovely Rita bookshelf by Ron Arad to store my new editions on.

Creative Vinyl Packaging: The Journal Of Popular Noise

Hello Bauldoff featured a really incredible take on the record sleeve. The The Journal Of Popular Noise, which is a "semi-annual audio magazine inspired by the traditions of pop music, printed periodicals, and the delight of a finely crafted artifact," created this folding letterpress poster sleeve to distribute their product in. The folding allows for optimum space to feature information about the issue and its contents.

Keep Vinyl Alive: Ashkahn

There's no question about it, I love this shirt. It's done by graphic designer Ashkahn a.k.a. Don’t Stop Studio. His site is full of rad work as well, so be sure to check it out.

Welcome to our OOL

I've had a rough past 24-hours and saw this and felt a little better. Nothing like a little well-played potty humor to bring a smile to my face. If I had a pool, I can promise you this would be hanging near it.

Arlo Weiner has Mad Style

When it comes to sartorial vocabulary, I'd argue that most 2nd grade boys don't know much beyond the words pants, socks, and shirt. However, Arlo Weiner is not your average pre-pubescent. His father is Matt Weiner, also known as the creator of the tv series Mad Men. Sarah Goldstein of GQ writes, "Arlo Weiner has been creating his own style since the age of three—when he asked his parents for a top hat. Soon he’d moved on to striped bow ties, crushed velvet jackets, madras pants, and ascots (yeah, he knows what an ascot is)."

You can read more about Arlo and his impeccable fashion sense in his feature at GQ called Mad Boy, and be sure to check out his fashion (slide)show on the site as well.

When I Am Big

I am really loving the nostalgic tone of Emilie Fjola Sandy and Kamilla Weinhardt's recent photography project. It's call When I am Big, and as the title denotes, the two photograph adults dressed up as what they aspired to be when they were children. Sandy is the actual photographer and Weinhardt does the art directing and styling. The whole thing is fabulous! What did/do you want to be when you're older? When I was a child I aspired to be a maid...seriously. I still love organizing and find cleaning therapeutic today.

Rat Photography: Jessica Florence

Meet Bug, the cutest rat on the face of the earth. He's the pet of photographer Jessica Florence. She's an aspiring fashion photographer who practices her craft on Bug, who apparently is a cooperative subject. The Daily Mail has an adorable story of the two titled On the Rat-Walk and you can view Jessica's flickr page for more heart-melting examples of her talent.

Life After Death Quilts: Anne Brenneke

Anne Brenneke is a fashion designer by title and a creative genius in my opinion. She is the hand and the mind behind the Life After Death Quilts. The colorful and detail oriented quilts feature four late rappers: Eazy-E, The Notorious B.I.G., Big L and J Dilla. Totally awesome concept and even better execution.

Vegetable Paintings: Ju Duoqi

If I had to guess, Artist Ju Duoqi is no stranger to the farmers market. He's created an impressive body of work by reproducing famous paintings out of vegetables. These paintings promote art and healthy eating, what's not to love about that?

Real Like Gustav Klimt Reproductions

While in Vienna this summer I saw more variations and reprints of Gustav Klimt's famous work than I'd ever thought possible. I can say with full certainty though, that I never saw real life reproductions of his work until now. The creative minds at Kattaca have done just that.

Grateful Palate Labels: James Jean

Grateful Palate recently released a line of wine bottles with labels designed by James Jean. The Southern-Gothic inspired labels are absolutely gorgeous. There is something both eerie and whimsical about them. I'd definitely be tempted to buy this bottle just for the labels.

Pleats-Pleats: Imaginary Office

My hands almost ache with a desire to touch this couch. Something about the giant tubular texture makes it look like a super comfortable sit. The Pleats-Pleats couch was designed by Daniel Hedner, one part of the brotherly trio that is Imaginary Office.

Crosley Pay Phone

I am hands down, absolutely enthralled with this Crosley Pay Phone. I can think of about 20 places in my house this 1950's inspired phone would look simply lovely.

Pelican Bedside Table: Marc Venot

I generally like having small piles of books in various areas of my house, but the Pelican Bedside Table by Marc Venot is really awesome. The lid rotates closed to hide books within the table. I think what I like best about it is the unsuspecting storage possibilities. Really, you could stash any number of items in the table.

Disposable Sunglasses: Azumi & David

Last time I had my eyes dilated at an eye appointed I received a pair of sunglasses to wear home that resembled a large strip of film. Those are exactly what I thought of when I first saw Azumi & David's Disposable Sunglasses. They're part of their Spring/Summer 2009 collection an are undeniably unique. Would you wear these?
