I generally like having small piles of books in various areas of my house, but the Pelican Bedside Table by Marc Venot is really awesome. The lid rotates closed to hide books within the table. I think what I like best about it is the unsuspecting storage possibilities. Really, you could stash any number of items in the table.

I love this. I leave piles of books all over the house as well, but it would be kind of nice to have a neat little place to hide them.
This would be HUGELY popular with knitters - to be able to stuff your work-in-progress away, safe from kitties/kids, but still close at hand? Awesome!
