The Philadelphia Museum of Art currently has an exhibit of the
Gee's Bend Quilts. According to the museum's website, "This exhibition takes a fresh look at the quilting traditions in the community of
Gee’s Bend, Alabama, introducing new artists and motifs in works dating from the early twentieth century through 2005." They have approximately 74 utterly unique and undoubtedly amazing quilts on display. If you're in the are before December, check it out.

These are so fun! I really love the off kilter stripey one. Makes me wish the exhibit would travel to LA.
I love Gee's Bend - saw the show when it was in Bmore a year or two ago.
