Check out this intriguing work by Robert Gligorov. According to his biography, his work, "tantalizes the imagination, awakening it from a state of lethargy." I'd say so. Who couldn't use a little imagination awakening now and then?

These photos are amazing. What's best about them I think is, like you said in your post, the imagination and wit that he applies to the mundane.
